The beautiful thing about CrossFit is its ever-changing nature. During the 2013 Reebok® CrossFit Games we were able to see the world’s best crossfitters power through a hellish weekend filled with not only familiar movements, but a whole batch of new ones we can start to hate and dread (legless rope climbs anyone?). And as our sport continues to change and evolve, so does the equipment we use and rely on.
Reebok® like they’ve done so well in the past has risen to the occasion with the release of the brand new Reebok® CrossFit Nano 3.0. After over a year of research and development that has resulted in a number of improvements and changes, the Nano 3.0 is set to become the premier shoe among crossfitters. Here are some of the new features of the Nano 3.0:
- RopePro: Designed to be super durable, the RopePro wraps around both the medial and lateral sides of the shoe keep it one piece no matter which rope climbing technique you use.
- Dual Density Midsole: This gives you a more versatile and stable base well suited for any type of WOD. The harder and denser heel is perfect for performing lifts or other movements like squats and pistols by keeping your weight stable and back in your heels. The softer and more flexible forefoot is more responsive, offers less resistance and more shock absorption for high impact movements like double unders, box jumps, and running.
- Redesigned Last: The natural last of the Nano 3.0 helps to mimic, support, and strengthen natural movement through the most difficult met cons and heavy strength days. The wider toe box and Metasplit outsole allow for full flexion and foot expansion giving you more natural stability and traction.
- New Lining: If you’re anything like me your feet can get pretty toasty during a WOD. A very convenient feature of the Nano 3.0 is it’s increased level of breathability. The new lining does an excellent job in reducing the build up of heat, friction, and abrasion making for a more comfortable fit over a longer period of time.
All in all, the Nano 3.0’s extremely durable design and high level of comfort and function make it the go-to shoe for any crossfitter. This lighter, softer, and stronger addition to the Reebok® CrossFit Nano line is sure to meet all of the demands and more of the crossfit athlete.
